Complete Streets Minutes – April 28, 2026
Present:
Grace Murphy, Jeffrey Viglielmo, Robyn Pollins, Howard Cohen, Eva Myrth Robbins, Kevin Bliss
Village Green Curb Cut:
Dutch Church has approved adding a curb cut on the Green, facing the 2x accessibility spots in front of the church. Jacquie Manganaro consult on ensuring ADA compliance. Next step is to present to the Town Board to make request for DOT issue a permit and work with the Highway Dept on construction costs.
Tinker St Library Bike Share Program:
Coordinate with Rosendale’s efforts to initiate a program in Woodstock. Lizzie Vann has offered to support this initiative, to pursue further, with bicycle parking at the old library location.
Tannery Brook Bridge Construction:
Understand why there was no communication from UCDPW, about the need to replace the bridge and apparently with a none ADA compliant design.
County Rd Speed Limit Reduction:
Having heard from residents living along Glasco Turnpike and Zen Rd, complain about speeding, the committee agreed on the need to submit a speed reduction resolution request to the Town Board. It was decided to request a
30mph maximum speed limit on all
County Roads in Woodstock. This would bring Zena & Glasco Tpk in line with other County roads like Ohayo Mountain Rd & Rock City Rd.
Tinker Street Project:
Trees _ Tree Committee urged to provide a list oof trees for replanting.
Grants:
TAP Rt212: waiting to hear if Woodstock will be awarded the grant after making a 2nd application, with continued support from the community.
WooHu HVG grant: moving forward with results pending for responses from engineers per the RFP request.
Bike/Pedestrian Master Plan: Requires attention with the timing right to start creating a plan to meet the demands having received the grant.
