4/26 minutes approved.

Parking Lot Signage:

Town board approved payment to be made to submit a purchase order to Timely Signs in Kingston.

Several parking lots in town are now on Google maps. The Municipal lot has been delayed being added due to issues about supplying details when payment is required. The Tannery Brook lot has not been added, since this lot has the highest fill rate and it’s preferred to direct visitors to the other lots in town.

Ulster County Library Bicycle Share Program:

Woodstock Library has confirmed  interest to participate if and when this program moves forward. New bicycle racks are being placed at the library.

Tannery Brook Rd Bridge Re-built:

UCDPW apparently made it known the bridge was being re-built, only 2 weeks prior to construction beginning. This gave no time for any dialogue for the town of Woodstock to negotiate for the bridge to be made ADA compliant with accommodations for pedestrians and cyclists.

Speed Limit Reduction:

State Rd 212 - It is understood NYSDOT will support reducing the speed limit on Rt 212 to 25mph in the center of town. Confirmation is pending as well as knowing the exact stretch of road that will get the lower speed limit. The town has passed a resolution supporting 25mph from Chestnut Hill Rd to the Woodstock Post Office.

County Roads – per the May meeting, a resolution request is pending  Town Board approval for all County roads to have a maximum speed limit of 30mph.

Tinker St Project:

A map of the design Woodstock has submitted to NYSDOT for approval is posted at the Woodstock library, available for residents to stop by and view.

A petition has been started to gather signatures in support of the project, with separate petitions for residents and none residents.

TAP Grant for the shared Post to Post bike/pedestrian path is pending.

Residents have made complaints as to the poor state of Tinker St west bound lane, between Library Lane and the Post Office, with huge pot holes forcing cars out into the center of the road.

WooHu Trai, connecting Woodstock with W Hurley & the Ashokan Reservoir:

Verity Engineering has been approved by both the Woodstock & Hurley Supervisors, to move forward and identify safe access for none motorized vehicles and pedestrians between the 2 towns.

Bike/Pedestrian masterplan:

It was discussed for the need to establish a sub committee to work on this project.

County Update:

Basin Rd bridge to be replaced.

RFFB has been installed at Onteora school on Rt 28 in Boiceville.

Sidepath created on the bridge connecting 28 to 28A, providing much needed safety for cyclists and pedestrians.

Woodstock to advocate for RFFB.

Public Be Heard:

Melissa Gibson, HERbal owner and Lea Haas Garden Café owner, spoke of their concerns about how businesses will navigate and survive the pending Tinker St redevelopment project. It was discussed for them to speak at the next Town Board meeting to coordinate with other business owners and be included in future meetings with NYSDOT. Most critical is to know a timeline when work will be done, where it will start, what hours of the day the work will be done and to know how customers will have access to businesses throughout. Also, to insure street lighting will be included in the project, especially to support holiday shopping and customers being able to feel safe shopping after dark.
