January 19, 2026 Meeting

Meeting called to order at 4:38 PM.

Members Present:

Paul Washington, Chair

Iris York, Secretary

Allison Dodd

Neil Ratner

The Board congratulated Iris York on her reappointment to the Ethics Board.  Paul Washington was elected Chairman, Iris York was elected Secretary.  The Board discussed the current vacancy on the Board and noted the benefits of filling the vacancy with someone who can constructively contribute to the Board’s work.

Changes/Additions to Meeting Agenda:

No changes or additions.

Review and Approval of Minutes:

The December 8, 2025 minutes were approved as amended.

General Discussion

• Disclosure forms discussed.
• Three new Town Board members to be invited to next Ethics Board meeting.
• Suggestions to be made to Town Board about issues on Town website including the separation of employment from Boards and Committees.
• The Ethics Board’s annual report for 2025 was reviewed and approved.
• 2026 meeting schedule discussed and approved.

Public-Be-Heard:

No one present.

Executive Session:

A motion was made and carried to go into Executive Session at 5:15 PM.

• Case 2025-2
  • Letter was sent to Town Board about a potential Ethics violation involving the sale of art at Town offices at the Comeau property.
  • A further discussion of public policy in relation to sale of art on Town property ensued with the result that a follow-up letter will be sent to the Town Board.

A motion was made and carried to exit the Executive Session at 5:25 PM.
