The Commission for Civic Design (CCD) is described in eCode at ecode360.com/6781107#6781107.
Established by Local Law, this advisory Commission consists of five members appointed by the Town Board for staggered terms of one and two years. The Town Historian is also a member of this Commission. The Commission provides guidance and advice to the Town Board, Building Inspector, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Planning Board on all aesthetic and architectural aspects of site plans in the Hamlet District of the Town. The Commission also maintains and updates a file on Town structures with historical data on modifications. The Town Historian, who is a member of the Commission, maintains this file, the Register of Older Woodstock Buildings, for historic, unusual, or distinctive value.
