The intention of the Housing Oversight Task Force's work is to make housing more available to people of a range of income levels and backgrounds while preserving our town's unique character and scale and continuing to protect our treasured natural environment.
The Town of Woodstock secured a Greenway grant, prepared by the Woodstock Housing Committee, to engage a consultant to assist with updating Woodstock Zoning Code on housing to reflect the Town’s Comprehensive Plan adopted in 2018. The Housing Oversight Task Force was formed by the Town in June 2021 to work with the consultant, Nan Stolzenburg (principal, Community Planning & Environmental Associates – CP&EA), on drafting zoning updates for housing and associated planning recommendations. The Task Force held its first meeting on July 6, 2021.
The Housing Oversight Task Force was disbanded after delivery of their October, 2023, final proposed law updates to the Woodstock Town Board to take through the approval process
The deliverables of the Housing Oversight Task Force are on the Housing Oversight Tack Force (HOTF) page of the Town Laws section of this website.
